Once you set foot on the little beach town, you’ll quickly find yourself surrounded by restaurants right and left all pretty much serving the same menu and even using the same pictures. Having been in Thailand for oh so many times, we are quite proud to say that we know about the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to our dining experiences. Once in Kata, we were very disappointed by the prices of the dishes and the flavor they lacked.
We then decided to ditch the mainstream restaurants at the main side of town to try eateries with Thai customers rather than tourists.
We were gladly surprised by the very modest price of the amazingly delicious dishes we tried.
If you’re a foodie, here are a few joints not to miss:
Fresh fruits:
Every couple of meters, you’ll stumble on a fruit stand selling all kinds of seasonal fruits already peeled and cut for you. Do not miss out on this as it’s the best candy you can get.
